When it comes to questions I dislike being asked, one that stands out is inquiries about my origins and religious beliefs. Personally, I find it challenging to provide a definitive answer to this question. Should I reveal where my parents are from, which passport I hold, where I’ve spent most of my life, where I was raised, or where I attended school? Let’s not deceive ourselves; despite being born under varying circumstances, whether it’s nine months or seven, with one parent or two, we all share a common destiny. However, there are outliers, like the story of a man in India who sought to sue his family for bringing him into the world without consent. Then there’s the ongoing conflict, such as the war in Ukraine and Russian , Palestine and Israel highlighting the irony of a region known for its religious diversity struggling to maintain peace. Each of us, whether you, me, or them, adheres to certain beliefs, often without fully understanding why, perhaps influenced by texts encountered since birth, authored by various entities. The issue extends beyond the question itself; it’s also about the judgment that follows. I’ve experienced severe misjudgment in this regard. In conclusion, we’re all living embodiments of the monkey theory, eager to challenge newcomers without comprehending the rationale behind our actions.”
